The road to perfectionism, we’re nowhere near

We can scream and shout, no one would hear

I often ask how – but twas’ always unclear

We embraced it all – you name it, the tear and fear.

I casually smile. You randomly grin.

You crazily shout. I casually sing a hymn.

I madly cry. You nicely embrace.

You stop the tear; I happily erase all the trace.

A one word text that makes my day,

An effortless smirk that goes a long way.

Love. To fate, I pray you reside.

In me. Happiness. To reality, I demand you at my side.

Love.

Sparkles in fairy tales I thought,

It all was mystery perhaps, I ought?

I question. I asked. I mumbled to myself

I wonder late nights until twelve’

o-clock asking, are you here?

Waiting and wanting; but only dusts were there.

Hours passed, days came and I waited.

I startled and saw you; I questioned.

I admired; yes, the notion I never embraced.

You and I – swiftly falling… falling…

in love.
